NICU Blankets

Golisano Children’s Hospital has requested a special size of NICU blankets sized 27”x33” specifically for the bottom of incubators,  (known to the hospital as Leo blankets).

 

Pre-washed flannel to flannel or flannel to cotton, no batting. Stitch RST leaving opening to turn, turn right side out, stitch opening closed and topstitch edge. Stitch lines in a X or large grid just to keep layers together.

Suggested Quilt Sizes (Approximates)

 
BABY - 36"x42"
LAP/WHEELCHAIR - 36x55" or 45"x48"

NICU - 25"x25" up to 30"x35" 2 layers of flannel, no batting in the middle. Put an X through it.
TODDLER - 42"x42" up to 45"x55"

QUILTS OF VALOR - 55"65" up to 72"x90" (See Robin)

Please NO large size quilts like = Twin, Double, Queen or King.
Keep in mind most quilts go to kids or are used as lap quilts over wheelchairs.
